Effective February 5, 2010 Utah Interpreter Program will no longer have open lab times for the community. The lab can still be accessed to check out materials, or to make an appointment to use the resources in the lab.

Purposes of the lab

1. Check out materials (only those available for loan).
2. Check out study materials for the Written Exam (you must have signed up for the Written Exam, and will be required to have paid the Written Exam fee plus a $40.00 deposit that will be used for a credit for future testing or other fees. No refunds will be given on the deposit; only a credit will be issued.)
3. Use of in-lab materials only during appointments (these are NOT available for loan).
4. Workshops on CD (staff will be available for questions).
5. Individual filming.

The lab will NOT provide the following services:

1. Mentoring of any kind.
2. Feedback on your work.
3. Open lab times.
4. Training.

How do you make an appointment to use the lab?

1. Send an e-mail to UIP@utah.gov with possible times you want to use the lab. Be sure to include the purpose of your visit, such as filming, checking out a tape, etc.
2. Request your appointment during the available lab hours (10 AM to 4 PM).
3. Once your e-mail is received, you will be contacted and given an appointment time.
